What does EnjoyErie cost to use?

Nothing. Place your events for free, and reach thousands of regional residents and visitors.

 

What postings are allowed on EnjoyErie?

Any event in Erie County or the tri-state region (northwest PA, southwest NY, northeast OH). We have categorized for easy user access the following categories:

  • Arts & Entertainment
  • Sports & Recreation
  • Training & Education
  • Meetings
  • Festivals & Special Events
  • Community Events

WARNING: Football games don't fit in the Meetings category. If you check inappropriate categories just to see yourself in more filtered calendars, you won't make us happy.

 

Can we target our events in more detail than those categories?

You mean you want people to be able to search for Halloween parties for one-eyed newts? Sure. Pretty soon you'll be able to add all the tags you want to each event.

 

What if I want to post special offers?

You're welcome to place discounts, coupons, specials, or any other advertisements on your profile page. But they don't belong in the calendar.

WARNING: If you spam our calendar with non-event coupons, discounts, etc. in the events calendar, you won't have privileges for long.

 

But what if I'm having a special sale at my store?

Great. We've created your own Sales & Specials Calendar for that. We'd love it if every local business posted their Black Friday or Christmas specials on the Sales & Specials calendar. Then we could begin to sort them and let our neighbors know where to find the specials, and everyone wins.

Simply post a new Sales Event, not a regular calendar Event. Where else can you get this kind of free advertising?

WARNING: If you place non-event advertisements in the events calendar, you won't have privileges for long.

 

Can I create accounts for multiple people to enter events for my organization?

Here's the rub. When you create an organization account, the system automatically creates a new profile page. Unless you're a spammer, you don't want 17 different profile pages. And it would not make us very happy because we're building a real and valuable directory for eveyone to use.

Remember, eveny event you create from your organization's account will automatically show up at the bottom of your profile page. So you really don't want multiple accounts.

So simply give all of your people your login and password, and let them all use the same one.

 

Can I create accounts for multiple organizations using my email address?

Nope. The system ties one email address to each organization account. If you are responsibile for more than one business, organization, band, etc., create multiple Gmail or other accounts, and use one for each directory profile you are creating.

 

So, what activities would get me banned from EnjoyErie?

It's simple.Treat it like it's your communty asset (or your mother's), and you'll be fine. We want you to be able to post your events immediately, and to promote your orgnaization for free for as long as you wish.

WARNING: Please don't scam the system or use it to spam our neighbors, or you'll be gone forever.

 

You have featured columnists. Can I be one?

We're looking for folks who care about gardening, youth wrestling, and so many other interests who know what's going on and want to share it. Weekly columns are the best, but you have to write at least monthly to stay active.

What are you going to do with my information?

Unlike some big social networks you're probably on, we will not sell or rent your email address or sell your personal or organizational information for marketing purposes. Period.
