It was organized and implemented by the Ministry of Natural Resources of China, which mainly focused on responding to global climate change, comprehensive Arctic environmental surveys, and the establishment of an Arctic operational observation and monitoring eco-system.
ELECSPN TA1000 is honored to participate this mission together with some other equipment, which operates as timing reference. During its sailing course, global positioning data from China Beidou, GPS, Galieo and GLONASS were collected and compared, so as to survey Beidou signal coverage and positioning performance, these data incorporate time difference, longitude and latitude etc.
TA1000 withstood strong vibration due to ice breaking movement, reflected its outstanding performance, no unlocking, alarming etc. abnormal condition occurred during voyage. By means of preliminary calculation and analysis of time difference data, its accuracy maintained at 10e-12 (small coefficient), it reached 10e-13 at steady course and mooring port phase, other data were arranged and analyzed. The comparison data are valuable to evaluate BDS signal coverage as well as TA1000’s high latitude suitability, performance maintaining, strong vibration output etc.
